Abstract

College recruiting discourses refer to desirable qualities in students or categories of students in terms of skills, leadership and multiculturalism. The denotata of such terms have institutional and market-specific resonances. Their value lies in their strategic deployment in positioning the institution with respect to the market of both students and potential employers.
